6 to 12 months out: treat the big concerns
Start anything that needs a series: laser hair removal, pigment and melasma treatment, acne scar resurfacing and tattoo removal. These need several sessions spaced weeks apart, plus healing time. Starting early also leaves room to adjust the plan if your skin responds slowly.
3 to 4 months out: refine
This is the window for a filler consultation and a first Botox appointment, if you've never had them. A trial run shows you how your face responds and leaves time for adjustments. Continue skin treatments and start a medical-grade home routine.
2 to 4 weeks out: polish
Botox takes about two weeks to reach full effect, so book your final appointment three to four weeks before the event. Schedule a hydrating medical facial one to two weeks out. Avoid anything new, aggressive peels or resurfacing in the final two weeks.
The final week
Nothing new. Hydrate, sleep, wear sunscreen and stick with products you know your skin tolerates.
