Laser Hair Removal & Tattoo Removal: Costs, Sessions and Results

Laser hair removal and tattoo removal are two of the most-asked-about treatments at our clinic, and the first question is almost always "how much and how many sessions?" This guide answers both honestly, explains what affects your results and links to detailed articles on cost, PCOS-related hair and local options.

How laser hair removal works

The laser targets pigment in the hair follicle and disables it with heat. Only follicles in the active growth phase respond at any one time, which is why treatment is done in a series spaced four to eight weeks apart. Most people need six to eight sessions for long-term reduction, plus an occasional touch-up.

Results depend on hair color, skin tone and hormones. Dark hair responds best; blonde, red and gray hair respond poorly. Hormonal conditions like PCOS can keep producing new follicles, so expect more sessions and periodic maintenance.

How tattoo removal works

PICO lasers shatter ink into tiny particles that your immune system clears over the following weeks. Sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart to give your body time to work. Black ink fades fastest; some colors and professional, densely packed tattoos take longer. Most tattoos need several sessions, and the number depends on ink, age, location and your immune response.

Choosing a provider

Look for medical oversight, modern devices suited to your skin type and honest session estimates. Packages usually cost less per session than paying one visit at a time. Members save 15% on laser hair removal and PICO treatments.

Frequently asked questions

Is laser hair removal permanent?

It provides long-term reduction. Most treated hair doesn't return, and what does is usually finer and lighter. Hormonal changes can trigger new growth, which a touch-up handles.

Does tattoo removal hurt?

Most people compare it to a rubber band snap. We use cooling to keep you comfortable, and sessions are quick, often just a few minutes.

Can I get laser treatment in summer?

Yes, if you avoid tanning and use sunscreen on the treated area. Tanned skin raises the risk of side effects, so we may adjust settings or reschedule.
